The Road Warrior

Woah, epic. But, man, there was probably more death in that than the 2012 movie. mini/tongue
Also I think most of the reason they made this movie was so that they could call it The Road Warrior, such an awesome title for a movie, if that was in theaters I'd go see it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Man, this movie is a work of art. They used LOADS of great classic Hollywood effects in the best way in just this one movie, and even created new effects that have been used in other movies ever since. A lot of good acting too from the main characters. By far one of the best horror movies.
Remaking it is really disrespectful IMO.

Hehehe, this was really entertaining. It's like an R-rated version of Hot Rod blended with a Lethal Weapon movie (a winning combination, it seems). I quite liked it.

Also got a chance to talk with Will Forte and Jorma Taccone afterwards, who were there for a Q&A session afterwards. T'was nice.

I think the first movie is a little bit better but it was great fun to watch this movie.

2012

OK, first of all this movie is kind of a dis-appointer for me, I expected more of a story more imagination more emotion, but yet Roland Emmerich had to stuff the whole thing with CGI, WAY TOO MUCH of it. Also the disaster scenes in the ark were EXTREMELY mediocre. It seemed someone had just rolled footage with water, no proper lighting whatsoever.

Characters

Probably the only emotional characters in the film were the kids, they showed how people would react to such a......... horror... mini/confused
Yet John Cusack was able to keep his cool while running while the ashes from Yellowstone were about too engulf him, lame. And the Step-dad Roger? 2 min after he dies (gory death *shudder*) the whole family is fine. Even after all these bad parts of 2012 it is not completely an epic fail. Though they stuffed up the CGI, they did it pretty well, and there were some comical parts in it.
