Is the character required to be human? If not, what is meant by an inhuman speed?

I knew someone would pick at my choice of wording. No, he/she/it doesn't have to be human, and what I mean by "inhuman" speed is a speed that isn't normal, a speed that far surpasses natural speed.

I think I'm going to enter this time around. My idea will either be really awesome or really lame.
