whut
Maybe it was because..
Wait a minute..
WHERE THE HELL IS DAVIDSOOON??!??!?!?!?
There missing almost half the Doctors! How naughty
Yeah, but if they just want to finish at Colin Baker, that's fair enough, as long as Davison is there!! He was one of the best.
That line in Caves of Androzani was awesome, something like "We're going to crash! We will all be killed!!" "Well, I'm going to die soon anyway if I don't get the cure."
Lol.
After watching that Serial, I can finally get Buxton's Joke in 'Doctor Who and the Celestial Toyshop'. And I laughed.
I watched the Confidential for Episode 1,2&3 today. I'm incredibly annoyed that the episode wasn't actually filmed in Churchill's bunker, since I visited it last Summer. But I forgot how interesting it is to look at the whole thought process behind the show. No matter what I say in my rants, I respect and admire everyone who works on the show.

I like it when Tom Baker offers Davros a jelly baby. Anybody seen that clip? ![]()
The latest episode was awesome...I feel that they really can do a good scary episode well now.
I haven't seen it yet, so I must resist this thread.
did anyone else think that the little add for 'over the rainbow' at the end kind of ruined the atmosphere of the last few seconds?

Well i was disspointed that it was to be continued and it dissapointed me even further when i heard that, lol. That could of been the most depressing Doctor Who ending sequence i've seen ![]()
I regret what I said about Moffat. (Except the Daleks they are still gay)
This episode was fantastic (olol Eccleston) .
I think Moffat made the mistake of making the second episode a filler.
I find that two-parters give a story some "time to breathe", so to speak.

There's a girl at my school, with a second-name of Moffat.
That's just spiffing. Utterly delightful.
But nobody cares.
I'm disappointed. I mean, there was no way that this could ever live up to the sheer terrifying power of Blink, but they could have done better. I flinched a few times, but I will not be kept awake at night by this.
1. Thousands of Weeping Angels. They were so much more sinister last time because there were just four. Small numbers, but still incredibly powerful.
2. The Angels can kill people now. SERIOUSLY? The thing I loved most about the Weeping Angels was that they didn't kill you, but they might as well have done. As The Doctor put it 'They send you back in time and let you live to death.' Just one touch and you're gone. But now they can break your neck...? Gahh, the mystery is gone.
3. Deformed Angels are not scary.
I look forward to seeing if they can pull things back with next week's episode - this time I'll watch it with the lights off.
(Oh dear, I feel like Max Butcher.)
Many people are of the impression I HATE Doctor Who.
I don't. If I hated it, I wouldn't watch it. So far I have just been....disappointed. This isn't Moffat at his best - 'Blink', 'The Girl In The Fireplace' and 'The Empty Child' were Moffat at his best. I suppose you can blame incredibly high expectations - but really, I don't like Moffat as head writer(I can hear you throwing rubbish at this post and booing me now - but its just my opinion).
That all aside - last episode was the best of the series so far. But a) Thats not saying too much considering the poor filler episodes we've had so far, and b) I agree fully with everything Hazzat said.
I too preferred smaller numbers. It just feels like Moffat's trying too hard with an entire Army - like he cant think of other ways he can top 'Blink' so thought "lets just add some more. Thats more scary isn't it?" Though, he did add in the deformed angels - but as Hazzat said, they are not scary. They move painfully slow (which is LAME), they don't kill anyone (yet) and they don't have any faces which takes away their terrifying facial expression - and...how are they supposed to see? And the Angels are totally inconsistent. They just straight up EXECUTE people now (Monsters breaking necks = LAME!) they apparently only have one form - the Weeping Angel form rather than various disguises as statues which was heavily implied at the end of 'Blink' (there is only so many times that same face suddenly jumping out at you can scare a person)
And one thing I hated was how the angels talked through the Cowardly Victim Cliché. It was explained as something like "Oh, they took my vocal chord and re-animated my conciousness". Wait...what? We're talking about re-animation of the dead!? I'm sorry, you cant just throw away a comment like that. I know in 'Silence in the Library" we had peoples conciousness preserved in a computer....sure, Moffat got away with that, but.....even for Doctor who that's ridiculous. You mean the angels are standing there holding his vocal chords up to a radio. The Angels are an Alien race of assassins.....not GOD! But maybe this will be explained in depth next episode, so I wont harp on.
The only thing that came close to Genius was the Angel coming out of the TV. That was awesome. But the rest of the episode was tame compared to 'Blink'
I'm only nitpicking here. The episode was still the best so far.....but it was somewhat disappointing. I too hope that next episode is much better, because I'll be straight here if its not.....

PS: Did I mention the marines are more clichéd that the army from 'Avatar'?

that was a painfully long read. ![]()
but I agree with every point you made.
I think the Marine/Church idea was quite cool, actually.
