Topic: Blender Problem

For the people who make models in LeoCad, and then export it to Blender for CG work, animation, etc.; I have a problem. Whenever I import my model into Blender from Leocad, it doesn't look anything like lego. For example, if I made a plain lego wall in LeoCad using 1x4's, and then imported that model to Blender, there wont be any lines or anything outlining the bricks. Just a 3-D square. Can anyone help?

Re: Blender Problem

That's because the default setting is a 3D cube. You have to delete that, then go to file>>Import>>3D Studio, the select your .3ds file you exported from LeoCad. Just hit okay for a size constraint of 10.00 because you can always scale it up later.

Re: Blender Problem

Then can you specify your problem more? What would be the lines outlining the bricks?

Re: Blender Problem

I think he means gaps between the bricks. I don't know how to do that in BLENDER tough. mini/blankexpression

Re: Blender Problem

The only reason there would be gaps in between the bricks is if you didn't line them up in MLCad, and you acidentally left some space in between each brick.
