i just made a lightsaber fight test , i made it to test out lightsaber and flying effects. i used gimp. please tell me what you think. also tell me if there is anyway i could improve

ya, i know it was kinda choppy. it was a test for lightsabers and flying, so i didn't put much effort into the smoothness.
The FPS was a little too fast so it was kinda hard to follow. 
I would recommend slowing it down a bit. There was also some light flicker so make sure to keep on top of that. Overall though it was a very good first try.

I'd say it is very slow. Btw, the effects were good, but try to work more on the animation
I thought the lightsabers and masking were very good, but as everyone else said, the framerate was too low, and the minifigs were moved way too far for each frame, giving it a high framerate appearance. Maybe try moving them 1/2 as far as you did for each frame. Keep up the good work!
Ya, i am usually pretty good with the animation, but for this vid i was more focused on the lightsaber and masking effects that i didn't pay much attention to the smoothness. but now that i am comfortable with lightsabers and making, i will do better on the animation
