I want to see Slumdog Millionaire badly. I can't decide either to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, or that film. Any suggestions?

Benjamin Button, although very good, its very drawn out, there are some unnecessary parts in it, and it  seems to be trying to hard to be like Forrest Gump.

I don't know anything about Slumdog Millionaire though, I really really want to see it.

^ Not sure if you were aware, but Button and Gump share the same scriptwriter (Eric Roth)

Last night I saw Milk (3.5/5) and Burn After Reading again (4/5).

L' Empire des loups (Empire of the Wolves)

Even though it was on SBS, in French (with subtitles), I missed the start and it was on kinda late,  I thoroughly enjoyed this film.
Well directed.

The Assanation Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford
This wil was very nicely filmed but was kinda boring.

But for the rest I'm impressed that a guy like Brad Pitt does these kind of roles.

That usually happens to a lot of celebrities, just because they're famous for their looks they automatically have no talent and have bad role choices.

The Elephant Man

Wow, I really enjoyed this one. They did a great job making it look like a old film. I thought the death scene was highly unnecessary though.]

Wait, how is that a bad role choice? Jesse James is regarded as having been one of the first American celebrity figures, and Pitt carries that into the role by default. He actually does a good job acting too, though Casey Affleck is definitely better.

Citizen Kane

I admired a lot of the directing, but I can't really say I enjoyed the story. I've grown up with the whole idea that money isn't everything and that material wealth and unhappiness can go hand in hand, so I didn't really feel impacted at all. Truth be told, I don't know why this film is as widely regarded as it is; so much of it is style over substance.

George Washington

A coming-of-age story set in a poor North Carolina town. I love the characters and how they develop. It was made for only $40,000, which really impresses me. I definitely admire it for its visual style, which is unique for an independent film, most of which seem to follow the same conventions.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Yeah, I think I realized that in retrospect.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This film is about a man's life who grows younger, instead of older. This film was okay. Some of the camera shots were shaky, which killed the mood of one of the scenes. I really liked how this film was wrapped up with all the people he met. I was wishing that Benjamin would see the short man again, but I was disappointed. This film was so similar to Forrest Gump because the screenwriter was the person who screenwrote for Forrest Gump. I liked the interesting people he met. The part when Daisy was injured because of the crash. I liked how the crash happened and if one thing changed, she would have missed the car.] The ending was awesome, in my opinion. I liked how it ended in a way that left you thinking.

The Great Escape
A true classic.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Hotel For Dogs
3 Stars. It was pretty good... I sorta liked it...

In editing, it was good.
In acting, It was very good.
In Humor, It was good.
That's all the things I can think of.
I would maybe recommend this film.

American Psycho

Most of the time, I was unsure whether to laugh or be intensely horrified. Either way, the film was entertaining. Christian Bale was very good as a terribly narcissistic businessman.

Death at a Funeral

Quick summary: Everything goes wrong at a British funeral. Directed by Frank Oz, the voice behind Yoda and a variety of Muppets. Not for the kiddies, but absolutely hilarious.
