Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yes, the perimiter should be larger, and the things on the top just look bad.

Looks like you used the pieces from that Lego Game:

The word you are looking for is "Circumference" and yea, it should be larger...

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

The pieces arrived for my jeep. I tried building it like this one:

But I'm not that good so it's quite different. Here's my finished attempt:

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Looks good.  Maybe add flat bricks to the top of the engine to smooth it out.  Also to the top of the cab, unless you need it for animating.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Pretty amazing! But the front window looks..odd. Hmm.

Could someone critique mine?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Awesomeonomy, I would suggest you use this piece instead of the jumper plate:
http://img.bricklink.com/P/86/3069bp02.jpg.
Also, this might work a bit better for the handle:

For the large scale version, I would suggest making the entire thing two studs thick, rather than just the speakers.

P.S. Thank you for being calm and polite, even though you got skipped. A lot of people in your place would have immediately gotten upset .

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Thanks Jargon! I was originally going to use those pieces, but I wasn't sure how I could enlarge it to be on the larger scale.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Hmm, I think the large-scale handle would work fine, but I would suggest lengthening the boombox two studs (one on each end) and using a little SNOT; attaching black 2x2 round plates to the front.

Well, it's a bit big for me, and I don't have many pieces mini/tongue

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Not bad, although the body is the only thing that bugs me: it seems too blocky and square-ish.

Try to use some hinges for the knees. Also, stealing ideas doesn't go down too well. Pawel had the idea of the knees, and the chaingun is pretty damn unoriginal. Trust me, I've seen so many videos on how to build that thing that you wouldn't be able to count them. Wait, you wouldn't WANT to count them.

I like him a lot. But not a fan of the feet or the legs. Just work on those 2 things and I think he will be great!

actually, I had made this before Pawel posted. I just couldn't find my camera. My chaingun was also originally my idea, not that I came up with it, I just didn't copy it from someone else.

To everyone else, I realize how blocky he is, but it's hard to make a sleek and micro-scaled anything.
