Re: Mac compared to PC
I honestly can't participate in this debate, I use a mac for editing and internet browsing and such, and a PC for frame capture and stuff that a Mac can't do. ![]()

Macs rule, macs are better for that theme of art, just that it costs more

Would an admin please lock this thread?

Now then, young lad, what would be the point of that?
- Aaron
Well, it would stop this argument. Everyone with a mind knows in their heart that PC is better, even if they think that Mac is better.

Dog, if you want this thread locked, I see no purpose of giving your opinion away.
You'll just start a new debate about that.
-Jack.
I was joking about. Seriously though, can someone please lock this thread? This argument could go on forever otherwise.

Macintosh was created to make compelling graphics and is very useful in the feild to so. However, the Macintosh is terrible at coding. Hollywood uses this computer and promotes it.
Windows is avarage in the feild of graphic art, but thrives in the feild of computer programing and documents. Many companies use this computer and promote it heavily.
However, they are both fantastic machines, but Macintosh is overpriced. Therefore, my dad uses a PC and I am a satisfied PC user. A friend uses a mac and frequently has slideshow issues.
Theyre both pretty much as good as each other at everything they happen to do, graphics, coding or otherwise. I know a lot of graphic artists who use Windows, and a lot of coders who use Macs. Let the poor argument die, and get what you want to get. You like the look of the Mac and the feel of OSX? Buy one then. You prefer Windows and the ability to build your own rig? Get that instead. You want a more in depth, configurable and open OS experience? Run Linux or something of that ilk. These arguments seem to have no purpose other than for fanboys of one platform to slag off fanboys of a different platform.

correct.
Mac is faster, and the latest imacs and macbooks can run both Mac and Windows software. Tell your parents to go on YouTube and watch Mac vs. PC commercials. THat would convince 'em.

Macs have some of the best frame capture software. For instance iStopmotion can chroma-key while filming. Mac ftw!

The Mac adverts are lies and misleading.
Anyway, they both have Pros and Cons, for instance Windows is faster and has more cheap software but OS X is more secure and looks prettier.
Seariously, this is pointless. PC and Mac are both computers. I am a PC and proud of it. Let it be.
Believe it or not, there's nothing wrong with debating opinions. It's a great way to form your own.

I'm sorry, but most of you have no idea what you're talking about and are making baseless comments based on terrible stereotypes on both sides. Thread lock for sheer ignorance?
Thats the best thing to do.
