It's because the sets are still preliminary. They'll most definitely make new torsos.
I used to have the old Rock Raider game, or now "Power Miners" as they have now renamed, and it was fun!
And, sorry for the sort-of off topic thing: Has anyone noticed in the January 2009, on page 10, Claw Digger, the "sulfurix" rock monster, has no eyes???
Nice to see they kept the space logo (sortof).
The torso on the alien is a slight variation it seems.I got the original TIE fighter set,and the torso is slightly different.

Oh wow! Is that a decent new Star Wars set?! I see they have the picture on the top right from Star Wars System, but I'm sure they'll change it for the final version.
It's really cool! The one on top has a new Tauntaun figure! I have gotta get me that one and the other one too! 
Mmm, Space Police. I don't know about some people over at Classic-Castle, but I like the look of these sets. And I hope this means the end of Mars Mission.
I too wish the Mars theme would change. I've wanted a new Space Shuttle though.

That Indy 4 set doesn't seem that good, I could use the dark grey slope bricks for mountains though.

That city set in the corner looks like an epic win. The Indy sets also look good, especially the Mine Cart one. I'm not sure what to say about the Y-Wing Fighter though.
