Re: New LEGO Line Discussion Thread

Of course not. That tauntaun is created by a person. Not TLC.
I've seen custom tauntauns sell on ebay for $60-$150 USD.

It's an epic win for most of us.
(But maybe not for the ebayers who sell custom Lego items.)

I'm well aware of that, Mrs. White.

Looking at that Indy plane, I am filled with joyness.

This is what a LEGO plane is supposed to look like. I'm not a fan of the newer four-piece round aircraft designs that they have been coming out with in the last two odd years.

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

Re: New LEGO Line Discussion Thread

Is that Gold knight and Jester an acual Castle set that will be released?

It's called a biwing wing arrangment. The link you posted in monowing arrangemnet with only one set of wings. Biplanes have two sets of wings to give the plane more lift, but then newer planes came in with a better monowing design that had even more lift (dont ask).

I don't think he had anything against the bi-wing design. It seemed to me he was happy with the way the plane was built, as opposed to the newer models with all the specialty pieces.

Re: New LEGO Line Discussion Thread

I'm not sure about the "Drawbridge Defence" set, I don't understand what on earth the Queen amd the Jester are doing in the set. Is the Jester holding the Queen captive, or does he have other reasons...
Also, I'm not sure about the gold knight, sure, the armour's awesome, but the gold and the yellow of his face really don't go together.

Despite all this, the tower looks more sturdy and larger than previous designs, and the bridge looks good.

I'll probably going for the Star Wars sets and the Troll's fortress, and maybe some of the Indy sets, by this time my bank acount will be empty.

Re: New LEGO Line Discussion Thread

The Summer 2009 Power Miners line will include LARGE ROCK MONSTERS!

Re: New LEGO Line Discussion Thread

The designers of the power miners sets actually explained the theory behind their colour selection. They wanted a nice, bright color for the vehicles to appeal to kids, and also because underground vehicles would benefit form bright colours in the way that they'd be easier to see and spot. Yellow had and still is already being used in the city sets.
