Fantastic Mr. Fox
I watched this a while ago, forgot to post my review over here.

I liked it. Random endings for the winnings. I loved the stop-motion too.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight

I figured since the movie's hype has long since died off, that I would watch it with no predetermined mindset. When I finished, wow, I mean wow, the film is still amazing and deserves every bit of respect it gets.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Die Hard 2

Awesome!

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Brigham City

I doubt any of you have heard of this film. It's a Mormon movie. About a serial killer. And surprisingly, it was very depressing. Lots of people died. It was a good movie though.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I don't know what it's called

Some random Hungarian movie about a hobo who lives at a train station and pushes people infront of trains. Is that the most demented plot ever??? mini/eek

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Inglourious !@#$%^&*

Tarentino went another way than of his usual movies, and he succeeded 100%. This film shouldn't be taken seriously, it's a funride of 2 hours and a half. Scenes might be to long for some people, but the scenes get executed very well.

5 out of 5 glasses of milk..... hehe mini/wink

The Exorcist

Damn this movie is really creepy with moments, I'll never forget that girls face...

I saw that film last night, and I was quite amused. I only find some scenes too long (the scene is the basement with those drunk Nazi's).
The ending scene was awesome.

I also saw Sherlock Holmes.
It wasn't that great. It wasn't Sherlock Holmes (since when did that guy fight?). It was ok tough, just don't compare it with the old films.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

It was more Sherlock Holmes from the books, rather than the earlier films, from what I gather.

It seems that in the books he does fight, and is quite proficient.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I personally thought Sherlock Holmes was one of the best movies this year. It married Action and Plot perfectly....unlike a certain other film released at around the same time......

Anyways:

The Day The Earth Stood Still.....Starring Keanu Reeves

After a okish build-up, we are left with the worst ending EVER!

Keanu Reeves (I didnt catch his fictional name....seriously, it was like Batman saying 'Sea Shell Sea Shells on the Sea Shore' with a sore throat) just vanishes in the ship, and then it just fades to white.

Three things:

1. When these mosquito things (wow....that really did sound as un-threatening as I thought it would) are after Helen and her afro-kid (again, didnt catch his name) they hide in the most under-cover place they can think of....A BRIDGE! And for some reason, they just go right past it. Is it a magic bridge? Did the aliens leave one bridge with special powers just in-case this scenario happened?
2. Why are the ships leaving? I thought the ships were a 'Noahs Ark', and that THEY WERE FULL OF ANIMALS. Why are they taking them back to their planet?
3. EVERY MECHANICAL THING IN THE WORLD IS SWITCHED OFF! WHY!? At first I thought they were doing that thing, like in the original where the Alien shuts off all power so that the powers of the world know he is serious and so they can negotiate. BUT THEN THE MOVIE ENDS!! WHY ARE YOU ENDING THE MOVIE WHEN YOUR ONLY HALF-WAY THROUGH THE PLOT? Did the director think it was so bad he just decided to end it and hope he could get profit.

If they had got the ending right, then maybe this movie would have been OK, but NO! OF COURSE NOT! They have to end it with more Plot-Holes than 'Picturesque'

*BOOOOO!*

Ok, maybe this movie didnt have THAT many....

*BOOOOOO!!!*

I was thinking that too. Maybe that's the "price" Keanu Reeves said that the humans would have to pay if he stopped the destruction of the human-race? I'm not sure, I wasn't paying that much attention when I watched it. I didn't like it that much.

Btw, I think his name is Klaatu.

Yeah, it's a pretty creepy movie, like at the end that guy is running towards the old woman, and then that face flashes at you. Watched that in bed at about 2:00 AM, I was pretty scared. But I only watched bits of it, like when the adults are having a party, then I turned over to Mock The Week, then went back to the film, and it showed her standing there, back facing towards the camera, with messed up hair and pale skin. I had to change it to Mock The Week again.

You Don't Mess With the Zohan

One of the most Hollywood-bizarre films I've seen in a while.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Pink Panther 2 (the Steve Martain version)

I liked it, the plot was like most of the Pink Panther movies and didn't bring any new plot themes to the table.
But it was dang hilarious!!! I lol'ed so much during this movie that i'm giving it:
4/5

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Really? Wow...
I thought OSS 117 was a better sequel to The Pink Panther films than the Steve Martin re-hash... and OSS really has nothing to do with it!

Coraline
Absolutely excellent. I really wish I'd seen it in 3D, but them's the breaks.
Next up, Fantastic Mr. Fox!
