Have a bit with the benny hill theme(yackety sax) where they are running between doors in a corridor (like they do in scooby doo) and have loads of people randomly appearing towards the end. That would be good! mini/XD

Yeah! Then indiana Jones and Spongebob Squarepants can come and run over the sith with the Batmobile! mini/bigsmile

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

Have it set in a building that's falling to pieces, with lots of different levels. So they can jump between levels and throw parts of the walls and floors at each other.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I went with my bridge idea and I am now building my set. I also wanted to explain to you guys why I have not gotten anything at all done. My studio is in the game room, which also is connected to the kitchen. So to film, I have to have the game room and kitchen lights off. Problem is, those are the two most frequented rooms in the house, so my family wants those lights on when I need them off. I rarely find time when no one needs/wants the lights on, and when I do it's usually not for much longer than an hour or so, which as we all know is almost useless unless you know exactly what you want to film.

So yeah, I am trying to work something out with my family about this, and when I do I shall really be in business.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

I don't get it. Why can't you just film in your bedroom?

My parents won't let me have a computer in there.

Guys, respect his parent's wishes. Just, back off.

Persist.

Funny, That is exactly were my studio is set up in my house.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

I actually use the basement, for several reasons:
1. The only people ever down there are me and my brother (for animating).
2. There's only a tiny window at the far end of the basement.
3. The lights are great for animating down there.

You must tell me how you manage it.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

Well the kitchen light doesn't really effect the lighting conditions in my set that much. Do you absolutely positively need the kitchen light to be off?

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

Yes, I do. It effects my lighting quite a bit.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

Hmmm, well if the light isn't coming from behind you then I guess you could put a small peace of cardboard at the edge of you're animating table.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

AWWW YEAH

I have officially started animating Sith Tradition. I am getting up at 5:30 AM when everyone is asleep to film without being disturbed
(ugh, the sacrifices we brickfilmers make). I will have pictures up sometime this week and maybe even a small clip.

Edit: Oh yeah, I have a question. Can anyone point me to some good GIMP tutorials? The sig image I got right now was made by a friend, and it is rather dull and uninteresting. I want to make something a little more...epicsauce.

Here BL, theres a lot of cool stuff here:http://www.youtube.com/user/GimpKnowHow
It may seem kind of to precise of projects for what you'd want, but the basic using and knowledge of this guy is helpful.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

I doubt you'll need muzzle flashes, but if you do then MooCJ has a wicked tutorial for them in gimp. Also, unless you have a good way of rotoscoping the lightsabers then you can do it frame by frame in a free program called Paint.NET. Google it.

I'm back. Possibly.

Re: Sith Tradition WIP

I only want GIMP tutorials so I can make a better sig image. I already have LSMaker for lightsabers and MOL for my other SFX.
