Well, to explain how I made the second effect, think of it like this:
When you want to use a green screen or blue screen, you have to 'key' it out. You generally select a color that would be on the screen to made transparent, and then you increase/decrease range and feather to make it ideally so only and all of the screen is taken out. But if you OVER key, as in you make the color range too large, then it bleeds into making your set transparent. That idea sparked me for this effect. I made the range of the chroma key to include the main lighter colors of Mr. Invisible.
In this way, only parts of him (and the rest of the set) are visible, but when you place that video over a background of the same thing (without Mr. Invisible, as is well known with method 1), the only thing that appears to be partially keyed out is the walking minifigure, in this case.

As for that tutorial, Noodle, it is an effect I've seen before and really liked. I'm not actually needing invisibility for any project as of yet, this was something just to try out once I had that idea of using software in a new way.
