Topic: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

http://www.vimeo.com/8425265

I need pointers on so many things, it isn't even funny:(
   the lighting is wrong
the animating was rushed and forgetful when multiple elements were animated

pointers please?:DD

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

That was actually pretty good lol.

You already criticised it yourself? why do you need our help?

All I can say is, put more movement in the walkcycles etc, get the framerate to 15fps, and try not to let us see outside your set, or your hands.

Welcome to BiM.

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

hey Rsteenoven, thanks for the quick reply, and thanks as well for the pointers.

Oh, and i forgot to mention; i can't get the chromakeying right with this clip, any tips?

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

The green isnt contanst throughout the clip so it would be near impossible to key. For such a large set and a camera pan it wouldnt really be wise to use greenscreening here.

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

is there something i can do instead of greenscreening?

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

Paint a backdrop maybe?

Or just don't show the rest of the set?

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

facepalm
why didn't I think of that?

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

Or, make a lego background.

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

Looks pretty good. But if you happen to have any more Lego men I'd suggest using two instead of having the same guy disappear off one side of the frame and then appear coming in the other.
Just watch those hands and work on the walking.

Keep up the good work.;)

Re: First actual scene... NEED HELP!!

Swift, you make a good point, I do have many more minifigs (around 95 total I think...) We are going to re-shoot this sequence.
