Topic: Aristaeus (First Look, need FeedBack ASAP! 0.o)

Well, after 2 hours of animating, and 1 hour of editing, I got this. This is going to be the first scene to Aristaeus (My upcoming film), but, I want to know what you guys think of 2 things: The mouth animation, and the sound effects. Critique the animation if you wish, but, I am sticking with this animation.

ALSO! When he says "Where am I?" I don't know why it keeps on flashing around him, I'll try to fix that mini/twitch

I myself think the mouth animation is alright, but, I don't know, I need a second opinion. Special thanks goes out to Spudster for the voice acting in this specific clip! mini/bigsmile

The sound effects are good.  Depending on what the room is supposed to be it might sound better with a bit of reverb.  Perhaps some ambiance and maybe some sounds for his feet scuffing on the ground?

Honestly the mouth animation does not look good.  It would look better without it, unless you can improve it somehow.

But overall it looks pretty good so far.  Good luck with the rest!

The mouthing was not good at all. If you can't fix it, trash it.

The animation was ok, but could be better. As far as it goes, the film was fairly nice though.

I trashed the Facial Animation, it looked completely stupid, I agree.

I will have an updated version up sometime today.

Better, but the animation still looked a bit jittery, if you know what I'm saying.

Seems like a darker, crisper image with a more interesting camera angle would have worked much better. What camera are you using?

Also, what FPS are you filming with?

Yeah, I did it, but never uploaded. Than, I did a sweep of my HardDrive, so, it's gone now.

Anyways, thanks everyone. I film at 12.5-18 FPS, and I use the LQP9000. I actually did barely any color correction in Post, most was done by putting coloured paper over the lights. mini/smile

My suggestion is to use 15 to 18 fps, because 15 it the baseline for realistic animation.

Woah, that is with the 9000? You can get a much, MUCH better image with that webcam.
