Topic: Cradles for Webcams

Well I got the 9K for Christmas and I'm wondering which cradle would be the best for it. I know Whittleberry made one but that was back on the old site, which isn't up yet? So this thread is to share cradles. Oh and btw Whittleberry could you post yours because i really want to try it out mini/sunnies.

I also got the quickcam pro 9000, and I built this one: http://www.brickfilms.com/phpBB2/viewto … ase#377874

It is quite secure.

Here are the building instructions: http://www.geocities.com/ancientbricks/qc9000/

Re: Cradles for Webcams

I rather know if it is necessary to have a cradle of some kind for a digital camera(with a rather heavy lence)?

I had one for my Power Shot. It was nice because I could lock it into the studs. But I guess you don't have to have a cradle for a digital camera, you would just have to tape it down really well.

Re: Cradles for Webcams

The best cradle is duct tape. Actual cradles get in the way of some shots.

Re: Cradles for Webcams

Eh, It always leaves a residue. I'm very happy with my cradle. Never gets in the way, because it the arm comes out. It can also create some pretty cool movements with it too. mini/smile

Can you please post some pictures and/or instructions on how to make it?

I agree with skull on this one ...

Re: Cradles for Webcams

I use the one that Rsteen posted, and its very good. I sometimes feed my wire through the body of it to keep it out of the shot.

Re: Cradles for Webcams

Hello all. These ideas look good, I'll have to try making one for MY new 9000.  Has anyone tried using one of these cradles with  a dolly or some type of crane for different shots?

Re: Cradles for Webcams

I was thinking of getting some LEGO Train Tracks for panning.
