Dolly shots are the ones that use train tracks. Or wheely chairs. Or smooth plates.

I was thinking of getting some LEGO Train Tracks for panning.
Train tracks would be pretty useless for panning. Panning is where the camera stays in one place and turns up/down/left/right.
