Topic: Bricks off Ebay.

So, I would like to expand my Lego collection a little and am in need of some simple bricks like 2X4s. I was looking at Ebay and saw that 100 red bricks is around €2.50. 100 Red Bricks from the Official Lego store is nearly €20. That is a HUGE price comparison but my point is, is it a good idea to buy LEGO off Ebay? Sounds a little silly but6 has anyone had any problems like not matching the description or bad quality pieces? Does anyone here buy Lego of Ebay Ofter?
Thanks, any replies would be appreciated! mini/smile

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

I would say go for it, if people are willing to sell their Lego for that price, they can.

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

This sounds like a pretty solid deal to me. The only time I bought lego off of ebay was when I got a Star Wars technic set that was used, but half the pieces were missing when it arrived. Hopefully the same won't happen to you!

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Just remember to always look at the seller's feedback percentage, and it doesn't hurt to read some reviews from his/her other customers.

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

eBay is safe enough. There's stuff to protect you if things go wrong.

But Bricklink is cheaper. You can buy 100 for £1 (or less)!

Love the new avatar Hazzat! Yeah, actually Bricklink would be better. A lot of people use it don't they? And bricklink has a store in Ireland too! (Is that how it works? They ship if they have a store? I have never used BrickLink so...)

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Bricklink is a collection of individual stores. You don't deal with 'bricklink', you deal with à bricklink store, ech with its own terms and conditions.

Me, i dealt regularly with british and french bricklink stores, all with complete satisfactory result!

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Yes, in that way it's similar to eBay. Each 'store' is run buy a different user. The amount of LEGO some people have to sell is crazy.

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Is it safe? Like has anyone tried the one in Ireland? I haven't become a member yet, but it says I have to be over 18 years of age. Will I igore that and join anyway? Or will I get it sent to my sister who is over 18? What did you do? mini/confused

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Just ignore it. It's teh interwebz. (jk)
If you want an account, just have your parents to make an account, and whenever you make a purchase, they have to be present (or something like that).

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Oh. Ok. Just for some help, could anyone give me the name of the store and country (preferably in Europe) that they buy from? My sister who will be making the purchase (with a 3V card or laser card [I will pay her back too..]) for me online wants to know so she doesn't get scammed or anything...

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

It's as safe as eBay. Again, all stores have feedback ratings that you can check. You'll need to pay by PayPal, which is generally linked to a bank account which is why the 18+ is there. I signed up with my dad, but I use it by myself now.

Re: Bricks off Ebay.

Thanks!
