Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Actually I am brewing something up right now... so if you could wait a bit, that would be great. I don't think it'll be long, maybe an hour.
EDIT: sorry misread your post, your judging TOMORROW. Perfect.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Not sure about the post production work, it looks a little... out of place?

...Sorry mum.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Ha yeah, I agree. Not the best, but my green screen work wasnt the best and my perspective got screwed up on the backround compared to the foreground. Oh well. mini/tongue

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Here's the results:

1. Sythean: I cried. I freaking cried. Amazing composition.
2. A.: Good framing, the lighting could be in a better position but overall it's nice.
3. Olson Studios, I don't quite agree with the editing on this picture although I love the angle.
4. Duke Boy: The angle it's at really causes confusion, maybe if the lens was wider and you can see a load more I can see that working.
Also, an over-head view could look nice for that concept too.
5. Mutuceba: These really aren't that bad, again the camera quality is great, I just think the lighting needs to be improved upon. Also, I would not have known that that kid was giving the guy his helmet if you hadn't mentioned it. The framing could have been better on that one to show that more.

Wish there were more entries this round, hope we get more next theme.
Give us a good one, Sythean! mini/smile

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Woo! I guess that means I have to think up a theme.

Let me know if I pick one and you've done it before I haven't been on this thread that long... hmmm... okay... okay I got one.

Distance

It could be the distance between two points, the distance and african swallow flies, or whatever; it just has to be an interesting, well lit and well put together representation of distance. Nice and vague and fun. mini/bigsmile

...Sorry mum.

...Sorry mum.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Hmm, I think we've had this theme before actually. Not sure how long ago.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Oh man that's a really great shot and concept, Spudster.

Hopefully that shot will boost some inspiration in everyone, it certainly does for me.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Great interpretation of the theme, Spudster!

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

woo nice, an entry!

I likes it. Good use of the theme Spudster.

I'm going to be judging this contest on Friday (Australia time) so hope to have some entries before then. So far Spudster is winning.

P.S.
Sorry Mutuceba, I'm gonna judge even if you haven't entered yet mini/tongue

...Sorry mum.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

No problem Spudster's entry intimidates me

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)
