Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

filmyguy that frame has got to be your worst. no sense in my opinion. hahaha luckily since I didn't post my entry for the last round,(which it didn't fit the theme that much) I'm gonna enter it this round because it fits so good.

Sorry to disappoint you. To make us feel better (I know it makes me feel better, hoping that I've improved) and to be honest, I took this frame a while ago, and have ever since taken it trying to fit it in a theme somehow.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

Yeah it looks a bit penisy filmyguy. No off fence you're still amazing.

Congratulations, Capedkid.

Filmyguy, I like the orange sunsetty lighting. How'd you do that? I also like the shallow depth of focus, where you can still see the girl looking at the guy in the foreground.

Just take a look at this wonderful thread. http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/post/64071/#p64071
Also, I took this picture with another camera I have, I would brickfilm with that camera (it's canon powershot) but I can't, sadly. Macs don't agree with them.

Re: Cinematography Challenge (Read Rules First)

That's pretty good, filmyguy. If I might make a suggestion, maybe bring the camera closer into the main character. It might help reduce some of the unused space on the left side and create a better sense of distance between him and the girl

Thanks!
Also, I'm sad to say that this was the closest I could get to him without him getting out of focus. I tried many positions but this one looked the best in the end. I was thinking of maybe cropping it later to get it all in a bit closer, but I didn't want take away the surroundings. Thanks for your suggestion! I'm thinking of getting a magnifying lens for the camera. mini/smile
