Re: Runway - An entry to "Walk This Way"
Wow, that really was quite a great film. Animation was spot-on, and i really just loved those picture shots! They gave it such a nice feeling 5/5!

Im impressed, the lights/camera effects are a very nice touch, and I like some of the fancy camera angles in it as well. If this doesnt place some where in that contest, I will be surprised, srsly
Very nice brickfilm ! I love it !
Very nice if I say so myself. The animation was smooth, and the camera flash effects looked fantastic! Also the lighting itself was quite well done.
Thanks again for all the really positive feedback everyone. It's really rather astounding the thread's now on two pages worth of comments, and I must say it gives me a very rewarding feeling. Now then, let me just reply to a few things...
this has a real good chance of winning the "Most Creative" walk cycle I think.
Yes, that'd indeed what I was going for. I was weighing up wether I should go for a smooth 24 fps walk cycle, or something a little slower in terms of frame rate but more flamboyant, and the result is as you've seen.
The pictures were a bit dark though, especially considering they were meant to be taken with a camera's flash turned on.
You got me there. That's certainly one flaw I could have helped, but as it was my lighting set-up didn't accommodate it and I was too lazy to persevere in editing. There's not much to be said in my defense on that one...
Keep 'em comments coming, anyways. Thanks again for the kind words from all of 'yeh.
That was amazing, LO! Very creative and very nice animation, lighting and effects! good luck in the contest!
Nicely done, LegO, looks really good. I think some of the lighting may have been a bit dim, but the spotlight and camera flash effects were really convincing. Just remember to pay closer attention to aspect ratios in the future, but otherwise, a very well-animated short.
I liked it!
Camera flash effects looked very good and cool, very nicely setting the fashion show look.
Only problem would be a little bit of darkness in the stills shots. You could barely see the guy's face.
I want to see more stuff from you.
Great news, guys! This won most creative walk cycle and best entry in the contest! Out of 250 + as well!
Thanks for everyone's support and kind words too!
Yay!
I personally thought that it was the best entry which I saw.
Having it be a runway where people walk all the time was quite intelligent, simple and imaginative.
I liked it too, the walking was brilliant. Definitely the most creative. PK animation's was very good too, but it was a bit slow in my opinion. Smooth, but a tad slow. I thought yours was almost perfect, I hope to see you using that walk cycle in your next film.
Best entry yet!
5/5
EDIT: Hey, and I was right, you won!
