If Schlaeps wanted to create a community what would be better than Brickfilms.com he should at least actually visit it, instead of releasing it unfinished and then wandering off somewhere leaving Smeagol and Night Owl to do all the work. There have been no updates on this site (at all) since it's opening on December 27th, it still says THAC is the current contest, he said the Film Directory would open "a week after" when it's been almost 2 months.
It's pathetic.

Yeah Schlaeps has disappeared. What ever happened to his contest, TEC?
Schlaeps is not gone. Not all of us have the luxury of going to school and then spending the rest of the day on Bricks In Motion or whatever anymore. We currently have a nice community with great new and old members to help out on the forums and the 'Releases' forum has not gotten too large yet to where it is almost necessary to have a directory to find films.
It is best that this site takes it's time and releases finished products rather than a hodgepodge of mess that only half works sometimes, looks like someone else's stuff and gets labeled by it's supporters a 'beta' product (not pointing any fingers). There are many things going on behind the scenes and while time isn't the luxury it used to be, things are getting done. And done well.

It appears that Schlaeps must have stopped by briefly. Not only has 'Private Messages' become 'Messages', but the front page now says that the THAC results are out.

Seriously, chillax. Remember when we had an earlier version and everybody went crazy cause it wasn't out when they wanted it to be and the world almost ended? Then Lord Schlaeps came to the rescue and everybody praised him. Then two months later...
I think some people around here need to listen to some reggae and take a nice afternoon nap or something.

The PM system should also be fixed now, so that you get a notification when new PMs arrive. Schlaeps did drop in to fix that.
And I was the one who updated the events page and added the bulletin on the home page.
I think the problem that most people have isn't that stuff isn't getting done, but that Schlaeps hasn't at least stopped into the forums and posted a quick "Hey, I'm still alive and working on it." Not that I doubt that fact, but some reassurance from the man himself would be nice.
