EDIT: Forgot about Alfred Hitchcock and Sam Raimi.
I'm probably forgetting a few and there's a bunch of directors I need to see more of before I can decide.

In no particular order: Tarantino, Rodriguez, Leone, Eastwood, Carpender, Rami, Fincher, Scorsese, Cohen Brothers, and a few others that have slipped my mind. That's just off the top of my head.

Yasujiro Ozu, Chris Marker, Andrei Tarkovsky, Terrence Malick, Kenji Mizoguchi, Robert Bresson, Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Béla Tarr, Alfred Hitchcock, Stan Brakhage, Michael Snow, Werner Herzog, Jim Jarmusch, John Cassavetes, Peter Kubelka, Thom Andersen, Hayao Miyazaki, Jean-Luc Godard.

Haven't seen it, I did see "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai" when I was 10. I remember liking it but I don't remember much of the movie.

Tarantino is my favorite one. Then goes Rodriguez then the others (there are too many to name)
