Topic: 9k vs. C910

Alright, let me apologize in advance if that question has been posted before. So I have recieved bunches o' money for Christmas and I'm VERY tired of my camera light flickering and being difficult. Now I want to buy a new webcam specifically for brickfilming....but I have a few questions.

1. Logitech WEBCAM 9k and Logitech QUICKCAM 9k...which one is better? I've heard the webcam is but it appears that the focus is automatic. On Amazon the webcam is cheaper so I'm not quite sure.

2. Is the C910 a better bet than the 9ks? I've also heard the focus is auto--but then again those are just rumors. However the prices are the same, so would the C910 be something to pounce on?

Please reply relatively soon, I've been leaning towards the 9k because there would be more help and tips if I were to get confused, but at the same time I want good quality.

I just got a C910 for Christmas today, the quality is fantastic on this thing. There is manual on everything except white balance, however, if you use monkeyjam, you are able to adjust the white balance manually in monkeyjam's settings where it says white balance. The focus is really nice too. Overall I would say C910, it is able to go up to 1920x1080p on most stop motion softwares, though you would want a pretty good graphics card before trying it.
My answer: C910 if you can get it.
Edit: I found out you can edit the white balance in Dragon as well, Next I'll see if you can work something out with heliumfrog.

Thanks for providing an answer to that white balance issue VIM. I've wondered if there'd be any way to manually adjust it.

Something I'm wary of is that apparently the focus bar for the C910 only focuses in increments of 10%, where the QCP9K would focus in increments of 1% allowing for tighter focus and smooth focus pulls. Can you confirm or deny this VIM?

After trying a focus pull shot today, I must say the focus increments are a bit largeish. However they are still good at focusing if placed right. Without any post-production blurring and focusing in, it is hard to get quite smooth and clean focus pulls with it. That is probably the only fault I see in the C910 as I see it now. I might try experimenting with the 9Ks software and see if I can get it to work with the C910 by any chance.
