I was wondering where I can get the blood effect as in Lego Black Ops when a guy gets stabbed in the face with a knive. And also where can I get a spark effect like when a gun shoots a metal wall?

I don't know how to download effects from Detonation Films. Can you tell me how to?
You simply go to the effect you want, and there should be a button that says "Download free zip file.". (This will only be by the effects that are free obviously.

I really recommend Action Essentials, not only does it have the usual blood spirts, but it also has smoke poofs that you can tint red that has more of a blood spray look.
use red clay maybe.
Try making some fake blood.
Fill a spray bottle with it and spray it where you want it to land.
Then use some of the blood from here if you want to do it quickly.
A better way of getting spurts though would be using that spray bottle infront of a greenscreen, that way the quality will match your camera. And the colour is exactly the same.
