Yay! You and me! A question LegOpinions, when do we start animating? Should we start talking to our partners now or wait for you to make an announcement?
I'm waiting until we get about 15 pairs (I get about 5 answer things a day), and then we'll start with the challenges. Other pairs can still join, especially if the challenge is on going.
did you receive my filled out question form? just ask me 2 send it again and i will. ![]()
I'm curious, what questions made me go with goldencamera?
Sent mine, I hope I get matched up.
Alright! So I think it's fair to start this now, even though not all of you have been paired up, there's always next month - and besides, there's no more pairs left unfortunately, only odd ones out. Sorry. OK, so with that cleared up, let me explain what's going to happen.
All of this month's pairs have been listed on the main section of the topic (Page 1, for those of you who can't guess). You are all set a challenge, which you and your collaborator will have to take on. You will have all of November to complete it, and you may do it any way you agree on, however here is a more advised method if you wish to take it:
1. Contact your partner and start discussing ideas.
2. Once you agree on something break it up into which scenes you're going to do, or who does the script and who does the animating, etc.
3. Get started! Finish a script, talk it over, and get to work.
4. Make a YouTube collab channel (Optional) and you post it there, then simply put a link to it on this topic.
5. Wait for results.
Which ever team wins will get either one of three things (Not yet decided).
A. A small voucher at a Bricklink store for you and your partner.
B. One point for your team!
C. You each get the chance who to collaborate with next time.
And without further ado, the theme!
Make a Brickfilm without Minifigures
So get to work! However if you feel the challenge is too hard, then I will change it. But try your best!
did you ever get my form?
This is actually a pretty awesome idea. If I were a more active animator, I might consider trying it sometime.
I just contacted my partner. I don't have any idea what to do for this. I hope AE does. ![]()
Just to let you guys know, we are not be able to do this at this time. We are already very busy, and we now understand that this is a more permanent thing (with teams and all) than we realized. If this was a one-time thing then we might consider doing it, but a monthly thing is way too overwhelming. Please match ZP up with someone else, and take us off the list. We think this challenge is a great idea, however between reviewing films (something we need to start doing more actively), making our own films (for other competitions and our site), and school, we really don't have much free time on our hands. Hope this project is successful, and sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. ![]()
Well actually you can choose which month you'd like to do, so just say you could do it this month, and leave it for however long you like. The teams thing only lasts a month as it is. But if you feel it'll be too much then I completely understand, and I'm sure there'll be another match for ZP (Studiol30 for one). Thanks for informing me anyway.
Wow that'll be a challenge!
Me and Legodudez were talking and came up with an idea like 5 days ago...
But we might change it now...
Or maybe not.

AE and I are still trying to came up with an idea (hopefully by Saturday) for our project. I'm thinking of doing something that involves little guys-like creations.
I was an odd one out!
Aw well, there's always next month...

Only a month of time? I think we should have a bit more time, I'm not sure of what I can make or how much time I can spend in a "holidayless" month. What about december (christmass)?
Oh I'd like to take back my application; it's unfair you didn't pair people up even if there the odd one, everybody should have a chance at the same time. I don't mean to sound rude or annoyed that I didn't get a place, but you did mention that you would wait for at least 15 pairs and I counted roughly about 6-8. Of course I'm a bit annoyed also because I really wanted to have a shot at this, but maybe next time you will have more time to spend on this, because you’re currently hosting three competitions if I'm correct?
