Re: Quality on QK 9000

lighting is the magic!

Re: Quality on QK 9000

I use the L-Quickcam Pro 9000, and it did take quite a time to get the quality as I wanted.
And it would be nice with a few more details. Two lines of words does not make a topic.

If you already know the settings, mind posting a picture of them?
Because it's not only the "Settings" part that should be tweaked. You see; in the outline of the box, there should be a logo of an Owl. Click it, and find the correct exposure. The more light you get onto your set, the less exposuring is needed.

I would say, as mario72 alrady said, light is the key.
At least 2 lamps should be around the set. If they don't make a lot of heat, cover them with paper. (If anyone has a neat picture of that kind of set up?)

Re: Quality on QK 9000

All settings on manual, low gain, fast exposure times, lots and lots of light.

Re: Quality on QK 9000

Yeah, I had the same problem and the only way I fixed it was by getting new lights. What does your lighting look like.

Re: Quality on QK 9000

i use the settings like BertL said, and i have one 60 watt daylight bulb (relax its just a bulb) that produces a white/light blue light, and i use a small 60 watt bulb that gives off a yellow tint. (yes its the tiny kind that can be found in some tv's)

Re: Quality on QK 9000

I think im going to make a video tutorial on this in 2 weeks, as a lot of people seem to ask this question, either to me or other animators.

mini/bigsmile  mini/bigsmile  superextrafunlammafilledadventuretime!
another thing: it seems to have better quality in monkeyjam than it is in the capture program.

mode edit: First, don't double post. Second, never post if all you have to say is something like "superextrafunlammafilledadventuretime!"

Re: Quality on QK 9000

Helium Frog is better at full quality .png at 1280x720. Monkey Jam doesn't have onionskinning or widescreen.

Re: Quality on QK 9000

I see what you mean, SteveStarfyTV. I have the same problem. I fiddled around with the settings. I put the exposure up high, the brightness down a bit. And it fitted my liking. But yes, it isn't the same quality as some people like Emma. mini/tongue

mod edit: Ohai there Mod, you alright?
