Re: Life Cycle - A Septemberfest entry

Well first let me say that's it's great to see something from you again. I enjoy seeing films from the up-and-coming, gives me an idea of who might be the next biggies in brickfilming. Anyways, the film it's self had a good idea, and the animation was really quite good, especially with some of the running. However the main flaw, as I'm sure you understand, is that it felt way too rushed. The scene at the beginning took place in about 10 seconds, whereas it should have been about 40, with some other slower shots.

Now of course with an idea like that it would have to be a long film, so maybe you were putting yourself up against a lot. In any case, well done, I enjoyed it and found it very entertaining. Although I didn't know that first degree murder was punished with death, but it made me smile, even if it wasn't the intention.

I'll be back animating soon! Exams and computer faults are keeping me away </3

Re: Life Cycle - A Septemberfest entry

Yeah, I found that a little strange. Even in America or other countries, police dont just run up to you and blow your brains out unless the target is clearly identified as a dangerous man - but even then they will attempt to bring him/her in alive unless they have no choice.

The sudden cut from the guy walking to getting the pavement re-painted kinda ruined it. Otherwise, it would have been a good story. I liked how he was re-born, and given another chance. I'm willing to believe a person would have a gun in their house - although I would personally take a little more time to find out who they were before going marine on their a$$, but hey....this is the guy who made 'Pirate Pirate' - thus removing all credibility I may have had.

Overall, I like it. I think the abrupt cut does spoil it a little (was their a problem?) but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief and enjoy it.

Trust me, you can get your own back when I release my Septemberfest entry - Which BTW is coming out on 10/10/10 [/shameless self-promotion]

yeh I agree with Max Butcher and LegOpinions - I feel that a film should be described on its actual pictorial content, and not by annoying subtitles. So the content of the film should be more clearer so the audience can understand it.

Re: Life Cycle - A Septemberfest entry

Thank you all for your comments and Critism, I know this isn't my best work but I hope to come up with a remastered version one day, without a timelimit. So I can perfect it instead of rushing. Any more comments would be nice, maybe some actual ratings on Story, Animation. e.t.c

Pretty good. The animation could have been better, and the story was a little hard to follow. But still, good job.

Re: Life Cycle - A Septemberfest entry

Great animation, great cinematography.  In essence, visual candy.  But the story was cheesy, and if you need annotations, then it realistically shouldn’t count as an entry, as that is using words to tell the story.
