OK, in your own opinion, who do you think is the scariest monster?
Look deep into their eyes....they stare right into your soul......
As stupid as they look, I would probably freak out if I encountered one of those on my walk home from school in the rain on a hill.
Look at their eyes. Look at their eyes! FOR GOD'S SAKE, WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR EYES?!
The aliens in the Orson Welles radio play of The War Of The Worlds are pretty creepy. Closest I've come to being scared by a monster in ages.
I think Halloween, however, is more of what you personally make it to be. For me, the day somehow brings a great sense of atmosphere and joy into the air, just as Christmas does...of course I admit the feeling could just be from my personal viewpoint or just basically knowing it's here. The point of Halloween for me is to ~feel~ that it's here. It's really hard to explain what I mean, I suppose it's just the most powerful Holiday for me in the second most powerful season (Winter is 1st).
So yeah, it's just based on your personal viewpoint. From what you've said, it seems you are letting people ruin Halloween for yourself.
Well we have Guy Fawkes night instead. Many of the children make dolls, dress them up as Catholics and burn them on a stake. Then we set off fireworks and eat treacle toffee. However I dont think people in northern Ireland celebrate Guy Fawkes night but everyone on mainland Great Britain does as well as some colonies. It is far superior to Halloween and second only to pancake day.

Halloween's coming soon- don't anyone forget to be their "character" on the forums! I call either Malfoy or Hagrid (who I prefer more).
I'm gonna probably be Brook. Cookies for whoever knows what show he is from.

It may be a little short noticed though, but since everyone's doing 'be your character' I thought we may as well make more of the event.
