Re: 48 hour contest

ok- i have looked at this- and it is 100% there will be a lego minifigure with accessories included in the prize. I'm not goin to tell you what the minifigure is- but i will give you a hint-          it has nothing to do with MEGA EPIC unless food is involved... mini/mrgreen

Re: 48 hour contest

I'm guessing this will get like 5 entries or something. You should announce this kind of contest.

Wow i'm in.

Only US Residents may enter (For mailing purposes, sorry)

:'( oh.
Well that's 70% of BiM members out.

Prizes!!!!  only one dollar!!!!! (and maybe a minifigure with accessories)

One US dollar is nothing. Do they actually still print dollar notes, because its pretty pointless if they did?

Anyway welcome to Bricks in motion i hope you enjoy your stay. I doubt you will get any entrants to this, but i wish you luck all the same.

Re: 48 hour contest

I live in Canada so if I win I won't be able to take the prize.  What I might do is enter and then if I do win you can give the prize to the runner up.

Re: 48 hour contest

I think you should make contests when you are a bit more well known in the community...

Re: 48 hour contest

Please stop spamming your contest.

Re: 48 hour contest

if your upset, i'll try and mail to other continents. mini/tongue
I'll make the prize 3 dollars
and just so you know- there absolutely is a lego minifigure with accessories included. mini/jaw

Re: 48 hour contest

ZOMG I AM SO ENTERING!!!

But really, 3 dollars is barely even anything. Regularly for contests, the prizes are pretty awesome, and I don't really feel like 3 dollars and 2 dollars of Lego is really worth it. I know the thought of hosting a contest sounds pretty awesome at first, but unless there's some serious prizes (i.e. 50 dollars of Bricklink ordering, Series 1 minifigures set, or something along those lines) people don't really think it's worth making a whole movie just for 5 dollars worth of stuff. Just saying, so don't hate me, but until you build up a bigger budget hosting a contest isn't really a good idea.

It's not about the prizes in a contest that make it fun, it's about making a good and interesting lego video that makes it fun (well.. in my opinion..) mini/wink

Re: 48 hour contest

Yes BGAnimations is right. 3 dollars isn't really a good prize. Especially to us British BiM'ers.

How true how true. As I say, the best part of winning is that warm, fuzzy feeling of beating everyone, HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! mini/devil

Yeah, but there are lots of other contests taking place with way better prizes, so why should I enter this one and get only 3 dollars when I can enter another contest and get over 50? It's just not logical to enter the one that only gives 3 dollars.

What contest is going on right now that has a prize over 50 dollars? Fine.. If you want this contest to stop- go ahead- but it is all of your guys decision. mini/sad

Re: 48 hour contest

Because for us small timers, you don't get much competition, so better chance of winning, and you feel better because you aren't hopeless at winning against better animators. It gives us a chance to build up our own rep.

Re: 48 hour contest

If you got some better prizes (and were able to ship them to the UK) and had a good theme I would definitively enter.
But like BG said there are other contests going on with much better prizes.

And this is basically a THAC Rip-off.
