Re: Septemberfest 2010 Contest [CLOSED]

Just got an idea... was listening to Position Music's dramatic music and one song suddenly transported my brain into a whole new idea...  it was an emotional story... about life...

SCRIPTING TIME!!!!

here's the music: http://positionmusic.com/album.php?id=156

EDIT: I looked but couldn't find any question: What does a scene count as? Everything in one set is a scene? If the story moves on to a different set, its got to have another mod?

Fantastic theme guys! I love it!

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

I have a great idea, but am i allowed to have the characters grunt and mumble?

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

BiM is short for Bricks In Motion. You are on the Bricks In Motion forums, but you are off topic.

Re: Septemberfest 2010 Contest [CLOSED]

"In TV and movies, a scene is generally thought of as the action in a single location and continuous time. Due to the ability to edit recorded visual works, it is typically much shorter than a stage play scene." - Wiki

So yes, sort of.

Re: Septemberfest 2010 Contest [CLOSED]

In a screenplay every scene is headed with 3 parameters:

EXT - NEW YORK CITY - DAY

That's EXT for exterior, New York City is the location and Day is the time. Whenever one of those 3 parameters changes, you have a new scene. So:

EXT - NEW YORK CITY - NIGHT

is a new scene.

Same for:

1. EXT - APPLE STORE NEW YORK - DAY

2. INT - APPLE STORE NEW YORK - DAY

If you need help with how to format your screenplay, check this site.

I hope this clearifies what a scene precisely is.

That was actually really useful.

Re: Septemberfest 2010 Contest [CLOSED]

I thought of a great idea! Next I'm gonna have to do the script soon.

Right now I'm eating popcorn and reading yer post's.  Then I'm going to finish up on sorting my lego and hopefully write the script tomorrow.  After that it's on to the set!  Anyone like my figures I made for the contest?  They're a page back.
