Simplicity ftw: Stop Motion Animator.

Animator HD, costs £60, but if you are 32bit, then the Simple ++ one is just as good but free.

Why should the DSLR be any different than a Webcam or Point-And-Shoot?

I don't think Simple + can take DSLR input, correct me if wrong though.

No live view.
Not necissarily. I would go for the 15 ML - LR 13 remote for 15 bucks (I think its called that) And get the ten dollar video cable to put out a live feed to a monitor. And then import then. But for software, I'm sorry but I have no clue.

So you guys are Basically saying that stop motion animator simple+ is the only one for free and it doesn't take live view......
Also that Stop motion animator HD is the cheapest one out there.....

Also can Stop Motion Pro 4 take a Nikon D5000

Dragon Stop-motion is almost made specifically for DSLRs but I don't know if $200 is out of you price range. Great program though, very professional.
