The Art of the LEGO

Youtube

This is a fast-paced animation that we made to demonstrate the art that LEGO lets you create. We tried a bunch of new techniques when we animated this, so this film is highly experimental. Hope you enjoy!

I liked that, it had some flaws, but overall it was pretty good! Nice work! mini/smile

Wow, I loved the rotating action scene.  I can't imagine how you got it so smooth. mini/bigsmile

Re: The Art of the LEGO

Very nice guys. The camera movements were probably the best thing in the film. I also liked the LEGO logo design. mini/bigsmile

Nice job! 4/5

Re: The Art of the LEGO

Thanks!  The camera movements were absolutely nightmares to animate, but in the end the result was actually quite satisfying.  However, we still had to do multiple takes to get a shot right.  We may eventually post some of the custom equipment that we used to make this film, but right now we are working on yet another film, so we don't really have much time.

Re: The Art of the LEGO

I likey!  Even though the camera movements weren't perfect, they were still very nice.  Also, the animation was very smooth when the guy walked onto the scene.  Great job!

Re: The Art of the LEGO

Wow, this was pretty awesome!  You got the camara movements perfect in my opinion.  I liked the part where the lego person takes a break then once he's done he kicks the table back into the pile.
