Re: 2010 DAD death and destruction contest
All you have to do is show fear. Shouldn't be too hard right?

Rycroftfilmz answered my PM.

yes it can just be showing what a minifigure is afraid of and it is allowed a comedic feel if possible
So, I'll probably be entering.

I think I'm taking the theme too seriously... My film is completely serious.
Are you getting a LQCP9000?
Animation 60% done!
Animation 0% done!
Almost finished. I'm working fast to get it done before school starts next Tuesday. If I can't, I'm doomed.
My film will involve a LOT of precise camera movements. This will be a bit of a challenge for me as I've only done little more than a move there, a pan there in the past so hopefully I'll get some good experience from this film. I already have an idea of how to build my rig(s).
Nice, can you give me an idea of what the vague plot of your film may be about?
I see.
I just need to film HELL and the very beginning, then the animation is done. Then I need to get my soundtrack done by a friend and I guess the movie will be sitting on my hard-drive like a demonic possession for a few weeks until I can finally unleash it upon the world.
I look forward to going back to light-hearted comedy. Its really hard taking everything seriously since I keep coming up with jokes - like my protagonist encounters Fred. But no....this is the new serious Max Butcher......god I cant wait to finish this and start working on BATIMPAIRED.

So is swearing totally completely out of the question? You said one minor swear word was allowed, but the minor-ness is all relative.
For example:
Crap, compared with !@#$, is relatively minor.
!@#$, compared to !@#$, is relatively minor.
!@#$, compared to !@#$, is relatively minor.
Just want to know what the naughtyness limit is.
Also, is copywrited music allowed?
Animation, 100% done! Now adding VFX! I'm on a roll!
... the working title is Urban Warfare. It's set in an office.
Hmm... working on a little something at the moment. I'm waiting till I get iStopmotion before I show anything much. I've found an interesting way of using Fear.
EDIT: Currently have about 20 seconds of 24 Fps footage done, all of a fight scene so far. It's look good! Although it'll take some editing process when I'm done, and Apple say I'm not likely to receive iStopmotion until the 20th to the 24th of August, so I'll really need to do a lot of animating.

Interesting...
But you make a good point.
A lot of swear words are only swearing in a particular country. !@#$%^ for instance is barely swearing in the UK. Where as Bloodyhell (why is this not filtered?) is pretty bad swearing in the UK.
@rycroftfilmz you should be more specific about these things.
