Topic: Robotic Voice

Well, several of my future film ideas involve cyborgs and robots and lots of other futuristic things. I'm going to need to be able to edit voices so that they sound robotic for some parts. Is there any way to do this, using only Audacity?

Re: Robotic Voice

Well, if your using a Mac you can go on any word processing software and type in the robot lines and then click "edit" then "speech" and go from there, the computer then talks on it's own, and it sounds like a robot, and you record it in Audacity. In the system prefences you can change the voice. Also there's an iPhone/iTouch/iPad app that makes your device talk.

Used to be 'Caidence'

Re: Robotic Voice

TBDude has a point, but how I would do it, is open up Audacity, record your voice, preform all your little rituals, then go to Effects>Equilization, then set the levels to something like this:

And that should work.
