Re: BrickFilm Fights

Well, JP, your animation surely improved a lot since the last time I saw a brickfilm by you. Still, you all have to work more on the cinematography: it's often hard to see or understand what's happening.

Re: BrickFilm Fights

Thanks so much MPfist0! mini/smile The cinematography was pretty poor, we agree. One reason is because our camera didn't have many manual controls, so we couldn't really control the intensity of the light/darkness. We now have the C910, thankfully, so our cinematography should improve as long as we edit the controls and experiment with our lighting system.

Re: BrickFilm Fights

Can someone make a quick run down of the rules because I know that they have changed.

Re: BrickFilm Fights

I think, I would have to vote for JP, to win.
I just think that the animation was just a bit better than KtP's.

So good luck JP!

He has already lost, the minimum time was 20 seconds, his was only 9.

What? I always thought there were three people in JP, but I guess I was wrong...

Anyways, I did not know that we were voting. As my brother said earlier, this was unfinished; if it had been finished, it would have been longer (Though you're still welcome to compare the two as if you were voting).

Yeah, well, cinematography isn't just about lighting, what I meant there was about the positioning (is it the right word?) of the camera.

I see what you mean; like unique angles instead of just a side view or a front view. We will really try to work on that in future films; thanks so much for letting us know that mini/smile

Yup. Like I said, I'll hopefully have my sig-fig up on April 30, but it may be a couple of days into May.

Ah, didn't think it was that hard to explain mini/XD. No, I mean that I prefer to see wide angles, even distant from the fighting place, I just want to see what happens. Still, some "unique" placements (like you said) might do well to the quality of the film.

Re: BrickFilm Fights

*Bump*

Hey Binding Bricks, I got my sig-fig finished. Are we still doing this? If so, I'm not actually able to start filming until Friday, just to let you know. Then I'll be free to film, and I will hopefully be able to post my sig-fig on Friday too. Sorry I had to push it out.

Er, my PC is screwed.  I broke my graphics card while fiddling.  I do have another computer so maybe I could.  I'm gonna try!

It might be a little late to repond to this advice, but we'll try to do some wider angles, though it would be very difficult since we don't have that much LEGO to do so. Personaly, I like wider shots as well, but we can only do as far as our LEGO can take us.
