Topic: Hair

Well, I notice a lot in videos that when a minifigures head moves the isn't in the same place. I am going to share a probably already used technique on how to keep the hair still. Get a tiny ball of sticky tack and then stick it in the stud of the minifigs head then stick the hair on, keep adding tiny amounts of sticky tack until you can grab the hair and the head and turn them around. If you do the process right it will lt will look no different from a normal minifig. I also read somewhere recently that if you shave inside the minifigs neck a little bit that can help you turn the figs head in smaller increments. Any additional comments about your head and hair techniques would be helpful. mini/delirium

Re: Hair

i shaved the inside of my minifigs but unfortunately i might have done it a biiiit too much cause the head rocks forward and back now when i touch it...

just one more thing to worry about.

Re: Hair

Re: Hair

i dont need it i just kinda know how to

Re: Hair

I simply grab hard hold of their face while turning, I don't think I have a problem that way. Or if your going cartoon, you can actually make their hair move with the head movement, like kinda spin. Like in Fancypants's, "A Clone Halloween" I think it's in there.

Re: Hair

One thing that I read (I don't remember where...) is to not shave down the head, but to wear down the body's peg for the head. It keeps rare heads un-modified, which is always nice. I did this with one of my bodies with steel wool, and after a while it was perfect.
