The Doorway
I made this video as part of the Cannes Lions contest hosted on mofilm.com. I found out about the contest really late, so I had limited time to make an entry. As such, the whole thing was a bit rushed unfortunately.

Not bad. There was some awkward pauses at random times though
That was great. Not your best animation, IMO though.

WOW! Just wow!
My jaw dropped!
I think this should of won the challenge!
I liked the concept the narrating, and VIM, is right you didn't sound too enthusiastic towards the end.
I've never been there for a FancyPants release and I hope to be here for many more!
4.5/5!
Fantastic work as usual, did feel a bit cornball-ish but I suppose that was the point.
Any excuse for a sword fight. He he he good show. Way more entertaining than the winning entries.
I'm not sure that this would get more Mothers shelling out for Lego sets. Wouldn't matter as the kids who see this and then see PoP on the shelf in the shop will keep bugging her for a purchase.
Innovative, creative, talented and well executed I don't understand why the Lego group do not want Mr pants making their ads. <FacePalm>
I think that this would have placed in the contest if it had no violence. The winners were completely non-violent. Other than that, it was good, but it was not your best animation.

Isn't it obvious? It's clearly because I didn't have the obligatory cute little boy in my video
But seriously, I can see why they didn't like it. The whole thing was a centered around a fight scene. I didn't originally plan it that way. I originally wanted to do multiple scenes to show the endless possibilities. But, I didn't have time to do that so I had to make do. The violence is also a problem, although I tried very hard to tone it down, no one died hehe.
I agree that it isn't my best animation, but considering that I did most of the animation and all of the editing in one day, I'm fairly happy with it.
Thanks everyone for your comments.
That was amazing! I just LOVED the animation of him bursting through the door into the palace!
I loved that. The camera movements was excellent, it seems hard to believe this is all in lego.

A great film indeed. I like the level of narration. I'm surprised they didn't like it, the film was welly executed. Althgough you could've worked on the quality a little bit, and you could've took more time on your animation. Besides those factors I say this film will be a good short film to watch.
best brickfilmer around these parts. simply perfect.

I don't think any company would want him advertising their products.
It's an awesome brickfilm. I like the sounds, the camera movement and the action. Great work.
