Well, it's a good thing I've never heard of Hawns Zimmer. Hans Zimmer, on the other hand, is quite good.

you make it sound like the only reason you dislike "Hawns Zimmer" is because you don't like the pronunciation of his name...

Hans Zimmer is pretty awful most of the time. If you actually listen closely to what he does, it's so bland and clichéd. Not saying that he can't produce something interesting, but he sure is the most overrated composer out there.
Because I'm half-German, I should point out that the "a" in his name isn't pronounced that way.
I've never heard anything outstanding of Hans Zimmer ... Though I liked the pirates of the caribean one
He gets interesting when he goes into atonality, but even then, it's nothing original musically.

Have you heard The Last Samaria? I find it hard to believe someone can listen to that and not acknowledge that as an amazing piece of work.
The Dark Knight Soundtrack, Track 1 = Pretty good stuff for Hanz Zimmer.

And yes DanimationMovies, it was pretty good, but nothing extroardinary IMO
All Batman movies have exellent soundtrack - regardless of if the film itself sucks (*COUGH*Batman and Robin*COUGH*)

Doctor Who Series 1 and 2 had a pretty good soundtrack, so did The Dark Knight, and Dark City.
