Re: For Your Consideration: Post Possible 2008 BAFA Nominees! [CLOSED]
They don't if you're using IE. I can see that becoming more of a problem as new members join.

I agree, IE compatibility is important. I argued this on the old site but I think Schlaeps decided not to aim for IE compatibility.
I think [IE compatibility] is very important, though it wouldn't affect me directly. I have a counter on one of the tutorials on my website that provides statistics, and a vast majority of visitors to my site use Internet Explorer.
While a majority of people in a tech-savvy community like this one use Firefox, these statistics would seem to indicate that most people visiting my brickfilming website use IE. Therefore, though I don't know this to be fact, I would guess this is true of this community as well. I think it is important that the site be accessible to the general public and not just to the browser enlightened.
On topic: I've seen some mentions of THAC entries, which made me realize that we should really just include all THAC 5 and 6 entries for eligibility.
Wouldn't THAC 6 entries be ineligible, since the contest was this year, and not in 2008? THAC 5 films would be eligible though.

They do, actually.
I log'd out and back in and the home has a search field (should be in the forum but oh well). Anyway it just gets an error with IE and in FireFox I get this message:
No Results
Your search returned no results...
(Probably because there's nothing in the Film Directory, Cast and Crew Listings or Resources!)
So it aint much of a search function is it? Sorry for the off topic rant.
There is a SEARCH button at the top of the FORUMS. The search function you used is for the directory and resources, which havent been released yet.
Use the search button at the top of the forums to search in the forums, you might need to be in FIREFOX to see it.
Most of the films I'd mention have already been posted.
Pe668, this is the thread Antifaan was referring to. Also, you might want to boomark the search feature if you can only use IE http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/search/.

Also, you can use Google - if you start your search with site: and then the site url followed by the search terms, Google will only search the one site instead of the entire web.
For example, putting in "site:http://www.bricksinmotion.com minifig" will search the site for "minifig".
If not one said these...
Unrenewable - Best Story
Tender Family Moments - Reading is FUN! - Best... IDK it was just cool
Social Experiment - Best Animation
I nominate Moronic! I know its been nominated already, but Moronic totally deserves it!

Thanks so much Riley, that link was the tip-top.
Perhaps "The Whack" and "The Insane Alleyway" could be possible nominees.
The whack, possibly, but not the insane alleyway.I liked them both though.
My Parties http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=hqil5tdqJnA
Squeaky wheels http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=-S2hYZ29Wjc
just thought I'd throw my videos in for fun.
Hey. Welcome to Bricks in Motion. This isn't a thread to promote your own films, but a place where you point out films that you think are truly among the year's best.
I think possibly:
Ants
Well, here's my list:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djA4qJgifzc - Unrenewable, Sméagol Studios
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X58eHt9k5hM - Jane's Brain
Can't think of any more at the moment, so I'll nominate my own film, Beige:

Fantastic that would really help. But how about your top ten favourites first?
Wait I've got a question before I start listing.
Can I suggest any video, as long as it was realeased 2008?
