Keesret, the one comment I would make about it is the shadows under the clouds slightly mess with the effect (unless those are supposed to be props of clouds and not real clouds).

Other than that, it looks great.

Yeah, I'll try to change the lighting up a bit to remove the shadows.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

JamesW: Very nice frame; I, in particular, love the soft evening lighting with the shadows. However, the floor is a bit bare and the horizon seems to drop pretty quickly. Other than that, a very good frame.

Keesret: Your frame is also very well done. I like the nice joyful feeling it brings, and the props are pretty nicely placed. However, as JamesW said, the clouds leave an ugly shadow that takes away from the 'cloud-like' effect. Other than that, it's good.

It's part of my new CGI film.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

EDIT: Sorry Keesret, I forgot about your frame there (Insert meme here). I like how you transitioned Minecraft characters into something that is suitable for a short. The lighting is nice, and the soft shadows are a nice touch. I also applaud you for embarking on an ambition such as CG films.

Here's a frame from our upcoming film:

Another still of my new CGI animation! Props to VMComics for the rig, which I promptly reskinned mini/smile .

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Wow, how do you DO that? Did you make every single block in blender?

Sort of, the rig was made by VMComics, and the blocks by me. After making the scene I used a tutorial to make the edges of the blocks smooth. I saved it as an .obj file, re-imported into blender with the character and added lighting, shades and cameras. I prefer this method over MCobj. It was a lot of work mini/lol .

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nice job, Keesret! I haven't ever used blender or anything before but it looks good and just like minecraft. Here is a frame from my upcoming animation to be released Wednesday 14.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Here's a few.

Heat vision
I made it using MS Paint, so it's poorly made and sorta rushed, but it was the best I could have done.

Namesake
Uh-oh.

Plot pending
Lex Luthor's plan to discover another of Superman's weaknesses is working...

(I realize the last one could have had better picture quality.)

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Omarnol, Supe's logo is WAY too far down on his body, and since there are official Super-man and Lex figures out now, you don't have to use customs anymore. I'll have to see it in action, but the heat vision doesn't look too bad at the moment, although the sets could use a lot of work. try building at least a basic wall made out of bricks, the plate on it's side looks too lazy. (If you know what I mean.)

Spider, NICE!
The only thing I'm not sure about is the door being a stud into the wall and the slopes covering it up on the top.
If it was a little farther in, there could be a wall-way thingie to the door, and if the door wasn't set back it'd just be a normal door. But as it is...something just doesn't look quite right, of course, that could just be me. mini/tongue

Actually, it took me hours to find the right pieces. Plus, I have a lot of Legos holding it up from behind.

@RepellingSpider looks amazing! Great cinematography. FYI guys the best day to upload videos on youtube is Saturday (for me on Saturdays I get up to 10-12k views per day while on Mondays I get 4-5k and from Tuesday - Friday usually 6-8k views per day). So I'd reccomend uploading on Saturdays due to good traffic on youtubez mini/wink

Thanks! mini/smile And also thanks for that info on the upload day. I've been doing my uploads on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because that's what has worked best for me animating wise lately. Perhaps I will try to work it into my schedule to start releasing on Saturdays from now on, or at least to test it out.

Wow, very nicely done. Good lighting, and the doorway design is quite creative.

Thanks! mini/smile I can't take credit for the house, my older brother built it one day while I was building the sets for this animation. It's an awesome house. Here is another quick frame:
