Though, I always feel it's awesome to shine some sort of light whenever someone's firing a laser, a gun, plasma bolt, et cetera. It's perfect for adding realistic lighting effects.

Personally most of these things can be done in after effects, and sometimes it isn't necessary. Thats just in my opinion however.

Love the shot Boardron, looks like a frame from the golden age of brickfilming. Really anticipating the film too, really can't wait, considering your past animation and the frames you've posted.

I'll be back animating soon! Exams and computer faults are keeping me away </3

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nice! Is it supposed to be night outside? If so, I'd suggest making the light coming in through the windows not as bright; a blue piece of construction paper, or a blue lightbulb, possibly with a black background behind the light, should achieve that effect. The lighting inside the museum is fantastic, it just looks a little too bright outside. Camera angle is great too!

Thanks. mini/smile

Theoretically, there are big lights outside shining on the windows to make it look that way even at night. I've seen some castles, cathedrals and such which have things like that. But that's just my excuse for adding cool lighting effects. xD

I do admit it was a bit too extreme here, I'll try to make it slightly less bright later.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Looks good ANP. I think I recognise the thugs from your action film.
Love the windows, I really wish I had these cool bits like you do! The angle is really nice too.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I like the set, Zach, especially the damaged wall closest to the figure. Making the second layer a lighter grey is cool. Though I think you should have at least done the glow effect for this frame to make it look cool before posting. Also, I think this could have done with a super over-the-top dramatic slanted camera angle. But that's just me. If you haven't noticed, I really like those. xD

Is the saber going to be blue? Or does the colour just make effects easier?

I actually built the thugs for I Am The Night, so they'll still be in films for a while. I spent a lot of time perfecting a small gang trying to use my pieces the best way possible to make as cool a group of thugs I could. The one to the right (Donald) is played by Stan the LEGO Man in I Am The Night.

this is a frame from my next animation "Atnas" (read it backwards) mini/shifty
funny I use two computers A windows one to animate with. and a Linux one to go online with.
I had to take the picture twice but since it was the last frame that I took the camera hadn't moved
the picture is much higher quality on the other computer mini/confused

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nope. I used color correction and added the smoke effect, but everything else was done in-camera.

How the <bleep> are you going to reach those guys for animation?
And tiles only must be fun to animate as well...
