Can someone tell me how to stop the bricks reflecting light please!

I checked all the settings if they make a diffrence but it doesnt seem to.
Put paper on your lamp, that will decrease the amount of light shining on the bricks.
Ok i will try it out.
try building with earth tone bricks like tan or dark blue
