IF YOU'RE HERE TO JUST READ AND NOT POST THEN GO AWAY ONLY READ THIS IF YOUR WILLING TO REPLY IM TIRED OF PEOPLE READING THREADS AND JUST LEAVING PLEASE REPLY IF YOU COME HERE

I have many brickfilm ideas i'll most likely never be able to implement into fully animated work.. So i came up with an idea.

I Can write scripts for you all and you can also write and submit scripts for the thread and you'll be fully credited in my post and the use of the script by an animator.

As far as modifications go you can approve with me first about changes to the script (Camera angles and such others are allowed to be changed but we don't want to release our hard work just to have it mangled.. (No offence)But this defeats the purpose.
So we could have a special scripts that are released and have a modifier tag on them -To note them as modifiable- without permission.

So i would like to offer brickfilm ideas... Fully Scripted.. Detailed camera angles.. expressions in the voice.. -These are all just suggestable you can change any of the details besides the script. Unless it notes that you can modify the script-..

A system where you can go browse read through scripts and tag which you would like to use at your liking if you like it the creator of the script can tag you for reading and allow you to read the full script.. To start there would be a Short detailed information explaining it... And if you're interested. You can tag it and it tells the creator someones interested and he/she can approve the reading of the full script by that person.

Once you decide to use it you will select that you wish to use that script and from then on you accept the terms that

"Unless said you can by the modifiable tag then do not modify the scripts lines etc. All camera angles and other info such as expression of voice is just there as suggestion. You cannot take these as your work you can create them but you cannot say its you're script you must fully acknowledge the owners writing of the script and if he leaves a link beside the script link to that link in your video description box once created and the video is posted if you so choose so you can update the script writer with updates of the film" *These can be changed later just an example*

And you ask... Why would someone/you wish to give away scripts?.. Couldn't you just put them off for later projects..

Well theres many reasons one might want to post a script they may have a great idea but not have the money or time or what be it to implement it into a working project and they don't wish to see the idea die.. Or you may already have a large project and you just can't handle another project and want it seen brought to life..
Whatever be the reason sometimes we have ideas that we can't use and we can post them for the users to use so they will not go to waste.

You can use my script i recently released its not finished and may never be -Which is what gave me the idea for this-'s format to see what format the scripts would most likely be in... http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/to … of-a-lego/

As you can see i note whats happening camera angles how the persons voice should be i note directors notes script lines and i also tie them together with asterisks..

Plus think how it would benefit the communtiy. Alot of people are brickblocked -I so just made that up its awesome isn't it mini/tongue-..
And this would help those who cannot come up with an idea at the time and wish to animate but do not have any ideas..
Thus creating more brickfilms.. Thus creating more traffic in and out of bricksinmotion to and fro videos...
Once again.. Making the community thrive...

And for the contests you may say "Wouldn't this create an unfair advantage.. The contest judges would be able to freely go over the scripts if they please to make sure none of the contest entry ideas are too close to the posted ones since contests are to spark creativity.. We'd rather people using there own material then using someone elses ^_^"

Also for the people who have a very crisp idea for a brickfilm but still may make the project they can post their script -Once again only the public can see the short detailed unless approved-

and add a reserved tag which means its there if anyone wants to use it but the owner has full rights to use it if he wants and remove it..
So if you want to use it you must use it under his special circumstances.. I e "You must run at 15 fps you must strictly follow the script"..
For the people that don't just want leechers coming in and stealing scripts and acting as there own mini/tongue.. Before approving them you can also ask too see videos they've made if impressed you can approve..

All in all this would improve community traffic get creative juices flowing get more members to the site get more brickfilms out there and help the community!.

Re: Grab-A-Film

This seems like a really cool idea actually, and I think for many people, this is where they lack the most. If you can write some good material it could turn out to be really cool. I may even be interested, considering I lack story skills most of the time. I don't think you necessarily need to do any more then just script, if you feel you need camera angles included and stuff, you might not need that.

Good luck with this, i'm not totally sure about it yet, but it has some potential to be very helpful to you and the filmer.

Re: Grab-A-Film

Like i told you in the chat -Assuming you posted your pots before we discussed it- The camera angles are a suggestion and are free to change with the brickfilmer they are there for guidance and to show how the scene should feel less to complete the brickfilm for them and make it seem like a job.. Just so they understand where i am going with it then they can take with that where the want ^_^.

Re: Grab-A-Film

This is going to be really helpful for me! I'm not very good at thinking up story ideas, so I only have one 16fps film up. If more people knew that I CAN do 16/15fps, then they might take the time and the effort to subscribe. Everyone's happy! mini/bigsmile

You were about to get one from me, but never mind.

Why just your ideas? Wouldn't it make more sense if anyone could post a script?

It's a good idea, but you've shot yourself in the foot with the way you've handled it so far. Demanding that people not read your thread unless they post a reply? Refusing to get the thread underway until people tell you how awesome it is? If you honestly don't see anything wrong with these tactics, I have nothing else to say.

Good luck. I'd like to see this idea come to fruition, but this is not a very good start.

With all due respect Noodle, I don't want you here. - Ratboy Productions

Re: Grab-A-Film

Obviously you didn't read my post i said others can submit there scripts..

This would also benefit the community it would mean more brickfilms out there and more visits and traffic for BIM if more films were being put out when people cant put them out without ideas and other people could contribute scripts too that they cant do/complete and theyd want seen done but they cannot do it.. So what do you think of this idea?                    < exact quote and you can tell i didnt change it just to add your idea cause the last edit was last night >_>

and im not saying OH YAY CLAP FOR ME GIVE ME ATTENTION i don't want to continue on with this to write scripts that wont be used unless the community thinks its a good idea and other people can submit scripts too one of my ocds is organazation and building systems.. I could create a very nice and organized and simple system for submitting of scripts.. Asking for permission of said scripts and an approval process im not exactly saying "GIVE ME YOUR ATTENTION NOW OR I WONT DO THIS BLAH BLAH BLAH ATTENTION WHORE" i just want to make sure before i devote time to this that people are actually interested... And on the fact that i demand people post if they read its because people are always just reading posts and never replying and frankly it pisses me off >_> if you don't plan to post dont read the damn thread

Thank you for you're interest and half supportive post ^_^ <3.

Re: Grab-A-Film

It looks interesting...I agree that anyone can post their Ideas here, and now I was thinking: an Idea could be used more times, right?
count this as another positive post

Re: Grab-A-Film

It's not a bad idea and I would be happy to contribute, but your poor grammar and spelling in your posts is a warning sign to me. Also, the ranting about people reading without posting is silly.

Re: Grab-A-Film

Yes.. I do apologize for my grammar on here but in my scripts i do my best check out my avant garde script to see the format they would be in. I just never cared to really have the best grammar on forums when posting but when i'm doing a script or something like writing a book i make sure everything is absolutely perfect please do no let my posts grammar take you away from that fact.. I may correct it all later.. I wrote this in hast.

And thank you for you're interest ^_^ I apologize for freaking out so much over people reading and not replying but i don't see the point really if you're going to take the time to read such a post and then just not reply.. either way..

Re: Grab-A-Film

There's no need to post if you have nothing to say. Also, some things are best left unsaid.

Re: Grab-A-Film

I updated my original post making it alot more nice looking and completely erased what i wrote before and re-wrote it. Explaining it all in better detail and alot better on the eyes mini/cat.

Re: Grab-A-Film

You know, this isn't such a bad idea, if people (including yourself) do it right, this could get stickied.

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: Grab-A-Film

I'll do it right i assure you and thank you for your post i have begun the project and i am rewriting my scripts i have all the stuff planned out check soon for the grab a film official post ^_^ with instructions on how to submit scripts and everything you need to know how it works! Thank you!

Re: Grab-A-Film

Sharing and writing scripts with and for members is a pretty good idea, actually. But I agree with Noodle here - so far, it hasn't been managed very well. We'll see where it'll go.

Oh, and it would be nice if you used some periods in the future. Your sentences seem nearly endless and are painful to read, actually.

Re: Grab-A-Film

Once again with the grammar complaints mini/tongue. And i hope to suprise you all with how well this will be handled i'm working on it right now ^_^  Thank you for your interest.. I hope to have the system up and working by later today mini/cat keep checking back.

Re: Grab-A-Film

Very nice. I think it is a good idea and that it has a strong chance of working. I only suggest maybe a little more freedom on the script, but as you said, the whole system isn't 100% up yet.

This should help many who has trouble with getting ideas. Nice work!
