Lech, dead bodies not time traveling fits in with this theory that non-living objects don't travel. I know this excludes, say, Ethan, Alpert and a bunch of people, but they weren't there when the flashes started, so it doesn't apply to them.
I feel like it was a good episode, too. Definitely had a good hook. I'm just upset we'll have to wait 2 weeks for a new one...
I have to say, the bit with the statue was one of my favorite WTF moments of the show so far. I think the episode wasn't as interesting after a bombshell like that at the beginning. I'm pretty convinced that Alpert is an Egyptian.

Looks Egyptian, which is consistent with the temple with the Egyptian hieroglyphs and the smoke monster control tablet Ben used to summon it.
I'm hoping the island wasn't simply something that was conjured up by ancient Egyptian sorcery.
You guys remember what Jin and Said saw in the season finale ? Satue ?
Some new know actors in the series: 24/ Alien VS Predator chick and that !@#$%^&* from the Green Mile.
Yeah this episode was really nice, but if next episode is another "What happened to them or him" episode I'm gonna go crazy.

I don't get why they're suddenly right next to the statue near the sea. Isn't the Orchid Station far inland?
Lech, Sawyer knows about the Black Rock because he's been there (he killed Locke's dad in the hold). Either Rosseau or someone must have told the Losties about it, or it just looked like a slave ship, I can't remember that far back

The statue is massive, it can be seen from quite far away i reckon.
Yes Steenoven, but you can see the sea through the trees/bushes, and it looks as if its only 30 metres away.

Also, next week's episode looks like it's going to be awesome-possum. I want to see everything go to heck.

Huh...well, best thing I can think of is that the reason the Oceanic survivors went back was to change history. I mean, did Faraday scare little Charlotte or did he stop himself from doing it. This could be a Redo-history kind of thing. In this case, they made a mistake recruiting Linus so Sayid corrected that.
Awesome.
Does it really have to change the future? It's quite possible that Ben is simply destined to be healed. Though there definitely needs to be more clarification as to how he became so willing to participate in the Purge.
