Jack might be one of the only ones who really knows what's going on. It would all be for nothing if he ended up getting recruited by Smokie. My guess is that Sayid didn't end up killing Desmond. And does anyone else think that Desmond is the new Jacob?

I was thinking that. Either that, or everybody but the final candidate dies.
The killing of four regular characters definitely makes me feel like nobody is safe. I had expected Sayid to die at some point, but I never saw the death of Sun and Jin coming.

The last few minutes of the series should just be all music, all Michael Giacchino, either with the latter half of Parting Words or There's no place like home.

it's like all the f***s from The Sopranos.
I have a feeling that the finale is going to be epic. My guess is that it's gloves off for Jack and Locke, because there is no rule saying they can't kill each other, right?

I just hope the ending won't be something totally lame.
Like throwing Smokey/Locke back into the 'cave of light' or Jack wakes up on the plane and it was all just a dream.

Or like a J.J. Abrams show crossover, like Olivia Dunham waking up from one of Walter Bishop's psychotic drug experiment in Fringe and had dreamed up the entire series.

There was an event a little while ago where they showed a short part of the finale. There was one part they showed I found really interesting. Don't read if you want the finale to be a total surprise. Here's a link to the article: Link
"The Man in Black explains he means to literally get rid of it and that it will soon be at the bottom of the ocean – though he tells Ben he's welcome to come with him on a boat and escape. The Man in Black notes how he can't wait to watch the island sink. " If you remember, the island was at the bottom of the ocean in the first episode of this season. I wonder if some of those theories are correct, where the flash-sideways are actually flash-forwards?

That doesn't make sense, though, since it's supposed to be 2004 in the Flash-sideways (right?). It'd be more like time resetting or that the original timeline is destroyed.

Yes, it's live and broadcast via time traveling islands with limited commercial interruptions thanks to Smokey and the Bears, call ticket masters now.

That was my reaction. But I worked out that its not like but that its being played at the same time as the in the US. Which is pretty bad because in the US they have way to many adverts and it starts at 5 am.
