Topic: The "Which Software/Hardware" Thread.
The main purpose of this thread is collect all the "Which Software/Hardware is best?" questions in one place, so as to clean up this particular part of the forums a bit.
How it works:
First ask a question about which software/hardware you should purchase.

I'll start it off. I'm trying to decide on whether I should get Adobe Premier Elements 8, if I should save up for Adobe Premier Pro w/ a student discount, or whether I should go for Sony Vegas.
) Vegas isn't confusing, but it's not got as high capabilities as Premier or After Effects. After Effects, on balance, I'd say is the best. Plus if you get the CS4 Production Premium, you get After Effects, Photoshop and Premier, all of which could be very useful for brickfilming (NXTManiac95 has a tutorial on masking in Photoshop).
