Topic: Age requirements

I think this page should be for every one, in youtube even six year old kids have nice vids, even some of 10-11 already have special effect programs

*cough* Not that I want to sound like a smarty pants, but the YouTube Terms of Service urges people under 13 to not visit the website, much more so than Bricks in Motion. Besides, there are at least fifteen people under the age of 13 visiting this website, including yourself. You're pretty much shooting yourself in the foot here, Lord Brick.

Re: Age requirements

Yes actualy I use my dads account on youtube but I am so loving brickfilming that I decided to take it to the next level

So? By using my Dad's license can I drive? By using his ID can I get into a club? By using his passport can I travel?

Re: Age requirements

We have an age restriction?

Re: Age requirements

I didn't think we did. I thought it said when I signed up that as long as you had a parent's premission you could join BiM. Dosen't matter to me anyways though because I'm going to be 14 in a few months.

Not a formal one. There's a discussion about implementing one (the 13+ age limit that's standard for most forums and the Internet in general), but no one who's already here would be kicked out.

Re: Age requirements

COPPA. But I've never, EVER, seen anyone get banned from a forum due to age restriction violation.

But here is what I think: when one signs up, he has to pick his age (which nobody will see). If he is over 13, he as access to everything. If he his below 13, he can't access certain parts (ie "The War Room", et cetera) due to inappropriate content (ie War Room debates on Homosexuality, debates on Racism, et cetera).

Re: Age requirements

Well fib, the War Room isn't accessible by default, an admin would have to give the member the ability to view that forum.

Re: Age requirements

While I am aware of that, it is only accessible by admin's grant of access, I still think that admin should reject requests from younger users.

War room? What war room? WHERE'S MY WAR ROOM!?

Re: Age requirements

By th way, I still haven't gotten that answered: the first time any mod or anyone said anything about a war room I had access to it even though I didn't ask (NOT a bad thing, I'm 13 and not exactly immature in some respects). Anyone know why?

Yeah, that'll work. Absolutely no one will lie about their age so they can get full privileges.

RTFM.

Re: Age requirements

A war room? Awesome. How do you gain access? Just wondering.

EDIT: Nevermind, didn't read the whole thread.
