all great films wish "The Camera" made it though
I was also surprised by that. Honestly I usually don't agree with user-voted results very closely, I think many people just vote for their favorite filmmakers without really watching or examining all the entries. But we wanted to give users some participation this time around. My take is that while the top 30 and top 15 are nice places to be, the top 3 are all that really matter in this competition, which is for me mostly based around the satisfaction of completing a new film in 24 hours.
My personal top 3 or even top 5 are clearly good enough that they have made it this far without a problem, so none of this really affects the winning results much in my mind.

How did, The Camera not get in!!!

Thanks! I wasn't expecting too much with it though. It will live on as the first infrared brickfilm. (I think.)
I have a different take on "what really matters"...
I agree that when it comes to how good films are, the top three are most likely to be the three best ones, and sort of the rest is undecided.
Anyway IMO what really matters is that we got 71 (or 69?) films, and that we all had a great deal of fun (and exhaustion) again. And I love to see how super success-full THAC is. Honestly I think nobody does it "just" to win, but mostly for the fun. Maybe a little thrive for fame is in there, but fame comes from consistently good work, and not from winning a THAC once

I meant in terms of who wins and who doesn't; otherwise I pretty much agree with you:
My take is that while the top 30 and top 15 are nice places to be, the top 3 are all that really matter in this competition, which is for me mostly based around the satisfaction of completing a new film in 24 hours.
This has been the most successful THAC ever, with 71 entries, and I think it's important to remember that the main thing you win is the satisfaction of having completed a new film.
sure,
I wonder if this will level off at some point, or if we are going to grow bigger and bigger until we reach 250 (or 500) entries?
Does someone has all numbers? Meaning how many participants we had for each THAC?
Cheers Arend
Alright everyone, the date for the THAC Results "Unexpected" Chat [K]night is set. Or TRUCK, as I not too affectionately nor aptly have named it. I've sent the ballots out to the judges, and now it's all in their hands (note that I have excluded myself from the panel as I have rated every film already). Expect the ratings of every film, the results from the public voting, and most importantly, your top 3.

cant wait for the results
If KG doesn't win, I'm going to...
