I hate that.
I do a lot of posting. I sometimes post in one thread right after the other, and this rule just wastes more time for me.
Can we make it 30?
Perhaps it'd be good to consider a post for a minute before posting it...IMO, 60 seconds is a pretty small amount of time. But if it really bothers you, you could always open up new threads in tabs and just wait a few more seconds to post. The 60-second limit can be helpful in slowing down spammers.
It is useful against spammers, but how many spammers does BiM see? I say we ask Schlaeps to lift it for a week and we can experiment.
Well, if enough people are opposed to it, I don't see why it couldn't be changed.
However, I agree with Sméagol - there's no reason why you couldn't be doing something else as well so you aren't sitting there waiting to post.
It's not only good for spam reasons and for posting reasons but it is also good for the server to help keep down the amount of queries to the mysql database. That was a large problem over at Brickfilms (and one of the reasons that we would periodically get those infamous PhpBB critical errors).
So, as much as you don't like waiting 60 seconds, I think it's going to stay.
I see. To reduce server strain and stuff.
Usually, I think my posts out more, which takes more than a minute, so I never really notice it.

I personally am opposed to it to, but it's not that big of a deal.

EDIT: I only post once every 5-10 minutes, because I'm doing other things at the same time.

Fib, if you have the patience to brickfilm, I don't see how you don't have the patience to wait 60 seconds. Night Owl is right, you do post too much round here.
I have never noticed that before, and Fib, Night Owl is right. Put some thought into your posts and don't worry about a time limit, multitask!

I noticed this, and it does sometimes get annoying, I type fast and when it says wait 60 second I just keep clicking the submit button like 30 times till 60 seconds is over.
Yeah, I type fast too. Also, I sometimes do short posts answering questions and stuff.
Listen to some music. It helps pass the time.
Fib is no near the ammount of posts by MMproductions. That guy is a robot!

I think the 60 seconds helps a lot. What happens if you send the post in twice by accident? I think 60 seconds isn't a huge wait. I think you guys should think that your posts are actually helping with the topic. If you have to post twice in one minute, why not edit the first post?
